As an accomplished HR executive with over 20 years of experience, LaNita is experienced in leading people and culture strategies across both non-profit and for-profit sectors. She brings a unique blend of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and deep compassion to her work—developing HR solutions that empower organizations to lead through change and grow with purpose.
LaNita has held senior HR leadership roles in diverse industries, including media, healthcare, medical technology, and behavioral health . She has successfully led complex workforce initiatives across national and global organizations, overseeing functions such as talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational development, compliance, and HR technology. Her experience spans startups, multi-site corporations, and mission-driven organizations navigating growth, transformation, or cultural change.
While her HR expertise is broad, LaNita’s passion is rooted in mission-based work . As HR Director at Behavioral Health System Baltimore , she led HR strategy through a major citywide integration of mental health and substance use services. At Mosaic Community Services , she designed systems to support workforce growth and service delivery in a behavioral health setting. She also served at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) in Washington DC, supporting national academic medicine and public health initiatives.
Today, as Principal Consultant at Magnolia Human Resource Solutions , LaNita partners with non-profits, trade associations, and small businesses to deliver HR consulting that is both values-aligned and results-driven. Her specialties include strategic workforce planning, change management, leadership development, policy design, and culture transformation.
